A personal recommendation: Let Eben Dennis teach to "how" to play the game of golf

I approached Eben with a lot of skepticism. After all, I had taken lessons from some of the greats, read many books, purchased several how-to video’s and even went so far as to purchase the "Al Geiberger Sybervision Video".

So what could this guy, Eben Dennis, show someone like me that had already seen it all? But Eben taught me a lot, and it was not only what he taught me that was important to my game, it was what I had to forget. It turns out I had taken many wrong paths to learning about golf that were not good for anybody’s game, and it was difficult to forget all that stuff (stuff = kind word for crap).

Many Pro's that we pay for lessons do not know how to teach. However, they collect our money while conviencing us that they do. They teach you things like strong grip, weak grip, the V of your hand pointing at your shoulder, shoulder turn, arm straight, feet shoulder width, inside pressure of your knees, butt over your heels, clear your hips, hit down the rail, take away on a level plane, grip with your three fingers.... Seriously, how can you ever hit a ball, and hit it the same each time with all those thoughts cluttering your mind? Your check list will get long, very long.

I have been there, and lucky for me I met Eben Dennis. The purpose of this site is to help others like me, seniors (short for old farts) that love the game of golf, and to pass on experiences that have helped me.

Eben's involvement in the world of golf includes earning a full golf scholarship for college. He played professionally for three years on the Australian PGA Tour and mini tours in Florida, California and Arizona. He also competed in the final stage of Tour School. His professional career was ended by severe back problems.

Eben learned golf from some of the game's great masters, including Jimmy Demaret, Jackie Burke, Ben Hogan, Julius Boros and Bruce Crampton. He is now considered to be a master instructor, teaching in seminars, clinics, schools and one-on-one.
